kettlemamma is on a distinguished road
Default kettlemamma

I just want to say hello. I feel like I have no right even being on here because I am no mechanic, but we have a boy from Haiti living with us for four years and we have an old Ford Explorer - 1993 - that is not in too bad of shape and I would like to get it fixed up for him to have a vehicle. I actually had to look on here to take out the battery and replace it - how bad is that? I appreciate the information here and think we can do this. If you know anything about Haiti, they do not even eat every day let alone have vehicles, so this is such a thrill for this kid - 19 - and he is learning to drive quite nicely. I found the information and diagrams on the window regulator and think we just might try to do that.

I notice a bit of gas leaking when we start it up, but not when it is sitting, so maybe a fuel line?? I know we have a lot to learn and can ask along the way, here and a mechanic that I know, so I hope we can do this.

Thanks!
