Default Hey why not... newbie with '64 Galaxie project

Usually I just jump right in to these forums but I've got one heck of a project car and figured I might as well see who all out there will be able to help along the way. Begin Story...

My dad picked up a '64 Galaxie 500 back sometime in '91 i think it was in good running condition. Drove it around for a couple years but tags went dead one year and just never got around to getting it back on the road, plus a few mechanical issues didnt help.

Fast forward to 2005, we started tearing into it the summer before my senior year in highschool in preperation for my attendance to Wyotech up in Blairsville, PA. Got everything torn down to the bare frame, came up with a scrolls worth of parts and such to replace, fix, or scrap. Spring 2006 saw most chassis components hit the blaster/powdercoater. Fall of 2006 was when i went up and started my 6 month base course, once i started into my Chassis Fabrication class, the frame and all the chassis parts followed me up and started getting put together.

2007 started off with all new engine parts being order and a rolling chassis being finished. Spring started my High Performance Powertrain class in which our FE390 begun its extreme facelift. To keep it somewhat short, the only STOCK items left in our engine would be the con. rods and the block itself. Everything else was/is being replaced.

A year later and I've graduated and we are now tearing back into things after me taking my time getting back into the swing of things and getting used to the 'real world'.

Looks like a good place here and I hope to keep the Galaxie portion alive and kicking with updates and pictures plenty.

If anyone wants more detail into whats going into the engine or anything else about it, feel free to ask!

and sorry about the novel!
