 blew up my 97 Ford Expedition
Folks, yesterday i climbed in my 1997 Expedition, turned the ignition, and my baby turned over. Then before it fully fired up the engine made a loud bang and white smoke came out from under the hood! I jumped out and opened the hood, and too me it looked like smoke was coming from the underside of the motor. It will fire up now but either has a hell of a knock or significant miss firing going on. sounds like its only running on 3 maybe 4 cylinders. The motor is is a 4.6 Triton V-8. Any suggestions? i had a mechanic here to look at it and he is clueless. He says both cams are turning and it cant be the timing belt. Could it be that i blew the lower intake manifold? any suggestions or recommendations? |
