Unhappy stalling when warmed up

We have a 78 f100. The motor has been changed and we do not know what year it is but maybe a 72, it has points. It stalls after driving it just a few miles. Then it will start after it cools down. We have replaced the coil, carberator, wires, distributer cap, fuel filters, and a few things I can't think of at the moment. Nothing we seem to do helps this stalling problem. Any Ideas?

You should try to check the fuel pump. is it an electric in-tank pump, or is a mechanical pump? if it's mechanical then you may need to change it. Check the choke to. Is it an automatic choke? If so you may want to either change the selenoid or put in a manual choke. (manual choke is easier to install. You have to pay attention to the way the engine sounds when it's cold with a manual choke tho. can be a pain if your in a hurry)

Next tinme it stalls, check for fuel and spark.
If no fuel, consider vapor lock.

IF no spark, give her a tune-up.
I don't recall exactly what a condensor does, but I do recall that resistance increases when things heat up. Just as a coil may fail when hot, I am guessing that a condensor may fail when hot.

We replaced the distributer today, I have not talked to my friend yet to see how this helped. The vacuum advance was not good in the old one. Anyone think that this could have been the problem? We will probably take her for a spin tomarrow to see if she stays running.
