 97 Thunderbird - Stuck in Park
New member as of today. Having problem with Mother-In-Laws T-bird. Saw related topics about stuck shifter and plan to look at electrical problems, ie: brake lites and switch. However, this lock release switch just seems to be very hard to push, if pushed very hard while supporting oposite side of shifter it will release. After that it will operate ok for several drives and parks that day. The problem seems to exagerate if the car is parked and not used for long periods, like days, or a week or more. Mostly wondering if there is a lubrication point or if some grease would help in the right place. How does the shifter and boot get disassembled.
