I've got a 2002 Ford Escape XLT 3.0 4WD. It's really my wife's, so I just started visiting this site so that I can fix it myself.
The lastest thing I just did was replace the EGR Valve sensor. Thanks to this site I didn't replace the valve first, but the sensor and that took care of our check engine light.
Autozone sold me the part for $30 when the stealership wanted $76. Its too bad that the dealerships don't even try to compete with local stores for parts. I'd probably go buy from them if they were only a couple of dollars more expensive. Oh well....
