I am back after lagging behind because I got rid of the Windstar I had. Now I need help with a '99 Escort with AT. It won't start. It is getting fuel, but is not getting fire. A friend suggested swapping the ECU. Can this be tested out of the car? It has been removed. Anybody have any other suggestions? What about the crankshaft position sensor? I would appreciate any help!!!

Here's Billdad again re:1999 Escort with start problem. I didn't give the right info in my post about this car. It will start, but dies right away. Fuel pump is good Timing belt is OK. Sure would appreciate some good help! I need the car to be running.
Thanks
