Hi to all and here we go. I usually work on my cars myself. I don't claim to be a mechanic but I don;t have a lotta money either!!1 year ago my 1996 Ford Taurus just started running crappy all of a sudden. At a steady driving speed it hesitates badly. When the weather got cold not only did it do this but also when it was cold outside the car started fine but in just a couple of minutes it run like someone was squeezing the fuel line just about closed. The car would drop from 55mph to about30mph. When it warmed up it would start back running normally. Now I parked the car. It was running okay, but after sitting for 5 days it will not start. Acts like it is not getting any fuel. I can hear the fuel pump engage. I have in the last year, changed plug, wires, alternator, water pump, thermostat, fuel filter, air filter. I checked 2 spark plugs today and they are covered in oil. Also cleaned the throttle. It also had oily grease in it bad. I cleaned the egr valve. It was pretty sooty. Anybody have any suggestions to what the next move is.:
