Ford Windstar ABS Issues & replacing the control unit
Hi,
I have read many threads from others with issues of the ABS and Brake lights coming on intermitantly. I think my control unit is bad since it the ABS comes on when I am coming to a stop on dry pavement.
The question I has is what tools are needed to chnage the control unit? Do you have to reprogram the new unit?
I have checked the other items such as the switch on the Master Cylinder, the plug on the control unit etc and they all look fine. I have changed all 4 ABS sensors and that did not solve the problem. I have a scan tool and it indicates the loss if signal from all 4 of the sensors.
Also how do you clear the codes from the ABS unit? I want to see if the codes return after I clear them.
