Angry 1990 econoline doest start...tranny i think

So, its doesnt start, unless i used a screw driver...

Replaced the battery because it needed it anyway...

Replaced the fender mounted starter solenoid...

Replaced the ignigtion switch...

It starts if i jump the ground to positive on the starter solenoid...so its not the solenoid or the actual starting motor...

When i put it into gear (auto transmission) it doesnt go all the way into drive...its still driveable...it is my daily driver

is my neutral safety switch bad perhaps? If so, can i do that in my driveway, or do i need to have professionals do it?

Other symptoms...back up alarm has ceased working
...when i brake or use turn signals,
tranny comes out of overdrive
