Some old man has it in for Fords I'm a customer shuttle driver for a Ford Dealership. I am on the road every day for at least 100km per shift, usually in-town driving, so I see a lot of interesting driving.
A short time ago, I was in a through lane at an intersection, waiting for the light. Next to me in the left turn lane was an old man in a black Pontiac 6000 (it caught my eye b/c it was still shiny). When the light turned green, I accelerated as normal to cross the intersection. HOWEVER, this old guy apparently thought, despite the oncoming car, the separate lane, and the huge left turn arrows painted on the road, that he was in the through lane, and ended up trying to take my lane, with me in it! I should also note that our shuttle is a Ford Flex, with our dealer name in 18" lettering on the doors and a 9-foot Blue Oval across the sides - it's kinda hard to miss this vehicle on the road! Anyhow, I honked and hit the gas (had a tailgater and couldn't move right) and narrowly avoided a collision. As I was accelerating away from him, I saw his face in the mirror and got a better look at his car.
Here's the kicker - it's the same guy who rear-ended a Tempo, pushing it into my Cougar, in the same neighbourhood, 10 YEARS AGO. I didn't get the particulars, such as his licence plate, or the time this happened, otherwise I'd have called it in. So here's the question - does he have it in for Fords, for me, or are his best driving days at least 12 years behind him? Just wanted to vent.... anyone ever have a repeat encounter with someone in this way?
