Default 2008 Taurus - Sirius Antenna

I just received a 08 Taurus. It appears to come from the factory with a Sirius antenna. Can anyone confim that the vehicle is pre-wired? If so, does the stock radio faceplate just pry off?

And finally, can a satellite antenna wire be easily cut and spliced? I want to put the receiver in the arm rest were the aux jack already exists.

Thanks.

Default EEEEEEK! Don't cut those Wires! Warranty will VOID!

my last Taurus cam with Sirius, this was in 02. i don't think you can splice into a satellite wire & you would be better served to NOT rip or pry off the factory face plate or cut into any wires. The Sirius on my Taurus came in a separate apparatus, you can get adapters for any and everything. radioshack & crutchfield.com sell adapters that will fit the Sirius interface. you may even be able to get a sirius reciever off ebay.

& Yes, Tuarus' come pre-wired for Sirius

Actually i am in the process of routing around for harness' for my current taurus and i found a bounty of them @ crutchfield.com check it out before you do anything that will compromise your car's warranty
