hey,
just bought 2 x 12" subs and an amp for my 97 eddie bauer expedition, do i need an after market cd player or is the factory head ok? i cant figure out where the accessory input is.

if you amp has speaker level inputs it should work with the factory head unit, however I would invest in an after-market head unit. I really like alpine and would suggest it to anyone.

You can run it off factory, but it will sound better with an aftermarket head unit with sub controls/outs.
