Mondeo radio/cd system wiring

I've just got a mk1 93 'l' reg mondeo, now my problem is the guy I got it from took out his system a replaced it with the orginal ford type 2007 radio/cd sytems.

Now the radio will come on but the cd wont, unforuntately the radio doesnt wont do anything unless the cd player is working.

So I've strip it out connect the obvious wires, but ground to a halt cus I 6 I'm not sure of. The should pair up but I not sure how.

One side I've got;

Yellow/brown
Yellow/red
White/blue

and on the other;

Yellow/green
White
White/blue (I'm thinking here these two may go together)
