Hey people i just joined and have a question. I have a 98 taurus se with a tape deck in which I have a cd walkman going through, and now all i get is engine noise from the speakers how can I cure this. Maybe it was 2 questions, I want to replace the stereo with a cd player but cant find the adapter plate to house the new stereo any help would be appreciated thanks.
I hate Tauruses just for that reason. the noise you are hearing is from a bad ground somewhere. try to find a stock cd player it will be better than adding aftermarket. Unless you want to pay to haveit done professionally. Some people get the aftermarket radio installed in a different location so they can keep the dash intact. Check with an installer.
