Red face 2005 focus cd changer doesn't work!

Hi there,

I drive a 2005 ford focus wagon and it recently had some problems with the alternator. I had it jumped in order to drive it to the dealer and had the alternator replaced there.

Since this happened my cd changer (it's a 6 cd changer) will not play. The radio works fine, and will load and eject cds. The issue is everytime i put in a cd --I have tried CDRs as well as regular cds and it keeps saying BAD DISK and will eject the disk. I have tried lots of different cds and nothing works (even a brand new one) . Is this due to the car being jumped? Is there a resetting code?

Thanks so much!
