Ford radio's are difficult to remove without the special tool....

I've actually done it without it - but most times it didn't work out to good.... :rolleyes

Looks like your posting was from a few months back but if your still interested..........Napa auto parts sells a tool for removing ford radio's for a pretty good price. They carry them in they're Balkamp line.

i know this post is old but whenever i need to take out a ford head unit i just cut up a metal coat hanger into two U shaped pieces. they are the exact same size as anything you would need to buy. might want to grind the ends down to a dull point. then either push them intowards one another or out and pull out. ez as pie and you spent nothing!
