Default 2003 Winstar Radio Possessed

My 2003 Ford Windstar radio is possessed. It started out that if I scanned up a station it would scroll down. The stations and CD songs then started scrolling all the way around without stopping. It is now at a point where it turns on and off by itself, even when the van is turned off. I can not control the volume or change stations. The clock turns on to a different time every time I restart the van. The radio sometimes turns on and is blasting on one speaker only and the volume button does not work. It sometimes does not even turn on at all. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I replace the radio? Is it the wiring? I seem to have trouble with my interior lights staying on. The VCR also does not work. I can occassionally get it to work if the I leave the unit in the sun to warm up. Can anyone help me with this nightmare?
Thanks,
Found On Road Dead

You probably bough a flood damaged vehicle. think about it... if all that electrical stuff on your van is shorting out the maybe your van was a part of the Louisiana disaster. it happens all the time. i would find out by doing a car fax report and seeing where it originated from or where it went to after it's initial delivery.
