My parents need an A/C control head for their 99 Mercury Marquis. That is what is described by their mechanic. The mechanic has just been going in unde the lower dash and switching something to change from AC to Heat function. I haven't seen the part but understand it can be costly new. I am looking for a used working part. He refers to it as the "control head" but not sure what he is talking about. I think the Crown Vics used the same part. Any suggestions? I may be able to get a part #, if so I'll post it here.

Which part exactly?
If it's the control panel with the knobs then it's easy, if it's the blend door(or associated parts) it can get expensive if a mechanic does it.
Do you have electronic AC controls?
